Settlement Orientation Services
-provide information regarding the health system, specifically:
Orientation to Canadian health services and coverage
A personal health plan
Support program for those with HIV / AIDS, including home visits
Outreach service for LGBT clients
Referral to related services including trauma counselling
Canadian Red Cross First Contact Program
-provides refugee claimants with access to resources, emergency assistance, information, and referals through a multilingual phone line.
-no specific health programming, but they make referrals to health services.
Circles of Care and Connection
-offer settlement support and early childhood development support programming, but nothing health-reared specifically
-they run a ‘cultural buddy’ program and so may be a useful resource to us.

-ISS does not have health specific programming, but they partner closely with Settlement Orientation Services
